Case study · Treebo

A year building products for Treebo’s post-booking experience.

An embedded BLG pod worked alongside Treebo’s own engineers for twelve months — same tools, same standups, same releases — shipping products used across 820+ hotels.

The engagement

Booking a room was easy. Everything after wasn’t.

Once a guest booked, almost everything that happened next ran through hotel staff — and had to stay consistent across several backend systems at once. BLG’s pod was embedded to help design and build what changed that, working inside Treebo’s own team rather than alongside it.

What the pod owned

  • Guest-facing products for the post-booking journey
  • Backend systems integrated with core reservation and billing platforms
  • Architecture built to hold up across 820+ properties

How we worked

One team, two logos.

BLG built the platform foundation end-to-end. From there, BLG and Treebo engineers delivered as one team — same standups, same repositories, same releases — shipping the products guests use today.

The pod began in August 2025 at seven people for the build phase, then tapered to three for steady-state delivery. Scaling down is part of the model — proof the engagement creates capability, not dependency.

  • Multi-tenant architecture across 820+ properties
  • Centralised authorisation & audit framework
  • Async job processing and caching
  • Kubernetes deployments with CI/CD
  • Continuous delivery on a codebase shared with Treebo's own engineers
